Progress Place is a facility owned by Montgomery County which has three primary programs, Shepherd's Table, Interfaith Works and Mobile Med, offering services to the homeless in the Silver Spring area.

Services Offered at Shepherd's Table

Meals
Hot, nutritious meals are served every day in Shepherd’s Table’s dining room.

Breakfast: Monday-Friday from 7:30am – 8:25am

Lunch: Monday-Friday from 12:00pm – 12:55pm

Dinner: Daily from 6:00pm to 7:25pm

Brunch: Weekends and holidays from 10:30am-11:25am

Resource Center

Information and referrals, mail services, prescription assistance, toiletries, crisis intervention, bilingual services, and more are offered at the Resource Center.

Monday-Friday 1:00pm-2:00pm

Monday-Saturday 6:00pm-7:30pm

Wednesdays 10am-12pm (during Clothes Closet hours)

Clothes Closet
Clean, seasonally appropriate clothing is distributed every week.

Wednesday from 10:00am - 11:45am.

Eye Clinic
Free eye exams and eye glasses are provided for eligible patients, by referral only.

Tuesdays from 10am-2pm

 

Interfaith Works, founded in 1972, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency and a non-sectarian interfaith coalition of more than 165 affiliated congregations of diverse faiths, working together to meet the needs of the poor and homeless in Montgomery County, Md.

Our trained, professional staff members work with individuals and families in crisis to help equip them to lift themselves from poverty and homelessness through prevention, stabilization and empowerment programs.

Vocational services, including job-readiness classes
Permanent, supportive housing program providing residences to 21 men and women who previously experienced homelessness
