You're also dealing with 80 years of experience. Thanks to sound business practices and good customer relationships, Lee Development Group's founders made it through The Great Depression and this generation made it through the 1990's real estate "melt down."
There is little in the real estate industry that we haven't done - from the ground up; office buildings, apartments, shopping centers, R&D buildings, residential subdivisions, warehouse/office buildings, industrial sites, self-storage facilities - you name it, we've built it. And, unlike most development groups, we don't hire outside management companies to run our properties. We manage them ourselves because we do a better job.
We do a better job because of our dedicated work force. Everyone on our 15-person staff has been with the company at least 10 years and many have been here more than 20 years. (For more on our workplace environment, see below.*)
And, after you sign a contract with us, we don't disappear. We understand that we have a long-term reputation to protect on a day-to-day basis. And isn't it nice to know that as your business evolves you have a landlord with the expertise to grow and expand with you?
Another family tradition at LDG is public service. That's why so many members of Lee Development Group - past and present - have actively participated in government, education, non-profits, philanthropy and other time-consuming community projects. While growing our family business, we have added value to our community and built relationships that benefit our clients, as well.
Others like our style. Recently Lee Development Group won The Washington Business Journal/American University Kogod Business School Award as the region's best-run small business. Also, LDG won the Family Business Forum/Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company award for being the best-run small business, nationally.
