A significant minority of persons who have had COVID-19 experience prolonged symptoms. Long COVID, a constellation of persistent symptoms, affects COVID-19 survivors in varying ways and to varying degrees. Common complaints are weakness on exertion, increased heart rate when changing body posture from lying to sitting or standing, brain fog, dizziness, headaches, muscle pain and insomnia. The most common symptom is post-exertional malaise or chronic fatigue.

Acupuncture can be an ally of Western medicine in treating long haulers. Join acupuncturist Jane Grissmer for a discussion about the power of this essential question.

Jane Grissmer is an acupuncturist with 40 years of clinical experience. She is co-founder of Crossings Healing and Wellness in Silver Spring, Maryland.
