This 40 minutes performative mode documentary movie is about a filmmaker's journey as an African immigrant with the hope of becoming an international Filmmaker faced with the industry's boundaries and the reality of an immigrant's life in developed countries. The interest in the success or representation of immigrants in the US, which has massive appeal to all Diaspora, will enhance the film's commercial value.
Using his personal experience or relationship with the subject as a jumping-off point for exploring a more prominent, subjective truth about immigrants' lives, the filmmaker touches on deep, fun, and brutal perspectives of one's expectations. The film follows host Yohannes Feleke as he travels from Ethiopia to Europe and then the US for the sole purpose of Providing back to his mom and family members. This emotional rollercoaster ventures out to each detailed element of what most immigrants go through in their journey, contrasting their expectations and reality. Yohannes showcases his own experiences as benchmarks to measure every immigrant's success story.
Viewers follow Yohannes's progression from solid opposition to settling reality, to reluctant immigrant and first-time ventureer, to outspoken advocate for this growing ambition revolution. Along the way, he gets to share in his challenges and victories and gather the necessary resources and encouragement to hope with excellence - A Journey of an immigrant filmmaker settling into his new mindset than the society.
