Symphony of the Potomac presents a program of Beethoven, the Pastoral Symphony and his violin concerto performed by violinist Eugene Drucker, of the Emerson String Quartet. Mr. Drucker has appeared as a soloist with orchestras around the world. He made his New York debut as a Concert Artists Guild winner in the fall of 1976, after having won prizes at the Montreal Competition and the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. Eugene Drucker has recorded the complete unaccompanied violin works of Bach and the complete sonatas and duos of Bartók for Biddulph Recordings.
