Make your own mosaic tapestry inspired by the Rajesthani mosaic tapestries of Laurel Skye! Participants will apply Thin-Set (concrete-based medium) to wood panels fitted with hanging hardware to create a tiny jeweled tapestry. A wide range of costume jewelry, beads, ball chains, and glass will be provided but you are encouraged to bring any personal treasures you wish to preserve, as well as the random lone earring, unworn necklaces, whatever you like! This project is a great way to recycle objects on hand to create dazzling new treasures. This is a 2-part workshop; participants will attend both workshop dates, Saturday, April 13th & Sunday, April 14th from 12–4 PM to craft their mosaic tapestries. Light snacks, refreshments and all materials are included!
