Rebellion is brewing in England, threatening the already tenuous rule of Henry IV, and history is beginning to repeat itself… Only a few years ago, the rebel Henry Bolingbroke usurped the throne from Richard II, becoming Henry IV of England. As the tide of rebellion begins to turn against him, led by the noble Hotspur and his conniving family, Henry must prepare his kingdom for battle. This means plucking his ne’er do well son, Prince Hal, from his revelry at the Eastcheap Tavern with Falstaff and a jolly band of drunkards and thieves. But Prince Hal has a plan of his own, one that depends on “Redeeming time when men think least I will.” At once haunting and hilarious, political and personal, join us to witness one of the Bard’s most exquisite history plays come to life in its original late-medieval setting.
