Guided Listening sessions with JoAnna Cochenet help listeners better understand well-known works and lesser-known treasures of the orchestral, chamber orchestra, and opera repertory. This session’s topic is The Pines of Rome by Ottorino Resphigi.
Closely examine different music in each session through clues and information left by the composer and inferred from the composer’s life, performance practice, and other historical and relative means.
Please listen to the piece at least once before coming to the session to help prepare your ears and thoughts for the conversation about the work.
