AFI Silver is excited to host the 16th-annual Capital Irish Film Festival (CIFF), co-presented with Solas Nua. Celebrating Irish identity, culture and artistry, CIFF's lineup brings the best in contemporary Irish cinema to the Washington, DC, area.

This impressive feature debut by Damian McCann is scripted by fellow filmmaker Aislinn Clarke, who presented her striking horror film THE DEVIL'S DOORWAY at CIFF in 2019 and here crafts a deliciously twist-ridden and atmospheric Irish-language Celtic noir.

After the birth of their son, investigative TV reporter Tomas (Peter Coonan, THE ALIENIST) and his wife Siobhan (Clare Monnelly, MOONE BOY) relocate to a remote island off the northwest coast of Ireland. Tomas is called back to the mainland to take care of some urgent business, and upon his return to the island, his wife and son are nowhere to be found. In sheer panic, he connects with retired policewoman Labhaoise (award-winning Northern Irish actress Bríd Brennan, BROOKLYN, PEAKY BLINDERS), a whip-smart local who offers to lead the search party. But with a deadly storm approaching, the pair will have to race against the clock to solve the mysterious disappearance.
