After researching the Abbey Lincoln Estate at Rutgers Institute of Jazz Studies with a focus on her journals from late 70's- 90's. Consulting with her MD at the time Michael Bowie who joins me on this date! Along with Abbey's Pianist and Artist in his own right Marc Cary! Kweku Sumbry fills out this beautiful rhythm section to bring life to these compositions that resonate with Abbey Lincolns philosophy.
