Desperate to separate herself from the pious pack of gossiping women in a rural Argentine town, Rita (Mónica Villa, THE EXTORTION, WILD TALES) is obsessed with becoming the saintliest. When she finds a dusty old box in the church's backroom, she's convinced it contains the town's beloved Santa Rita statue, long believed to be lost. Recruiting her bumbling, oft-neglected husband (Horacio Marassi, LA FLOR, ROJO), she hatches a plan to stage her own miracle. But what price is she willing to pay for sainthood? In his feature debut, Tomás Gómez Bustillo (an AFI Conservatory alum) has crafted a comedic, religious fantasy that won the Adam Yauch Hörnblowér Award at this year's SXSW Film Festival.
